DOORKNOCK DAY 2008

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

WE NEED YOU!!!!!!
Doorknock Appeal 2008
Saturday 30th August or Sunday 31st August

Last year we raised $100,000 and only covered around 30% of our local area. Imagine what we can do with your help!

It’s so simple to help…

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter is calling on your help for a few hours on Saturday 30th & Sunday 31 August to assist in our annual Doorknock Appeal to help us raise money to continue our life saving work in your area. This day is the largest single fundraiser for the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Service.

You can do it…as an individual, but it is more fun to do it as a group! So we encourage you to get together a team of workmates, family or friends and get involved.

It only takes a few hours…Three hours of your time and a good pair of walking shoes is all we ask, and we supply the rest - ID tags, stickers, receipt books, sunscreen, water, pens, a bag and a McDonalds voucher.

Keen to help?

‘SIMPLY SILVER’ GALA BALL - LISMORE

Friday, October 26th, 2007

Rescue helicopter to celebrate 25th anniversary in style

Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter is extending an invitation to the northern region community to help celebrate the service’s 25th anniversary at a ‘Simply Silver Gala Ball’ at Lismore City Hall on Saturday November 3.

“Since 1982 the rescue helicopter service has completed over 5200 life-saving missions. But we simply wouldn’t have been able to do it without the ongoing and very passionate support of the community,” said Westpac Life Saver’s General Manager Perry Wells.

Mr Wells said that the ball would provide the perfect opportunity for the pilots, crew, staff and people who have been carried by the helicopter to say a big thanks to the community for their support….
